TNT Post UK and QVC deliver gifts to the troops
Mail company TNT Post UK has been working with online shopping channel QVC to ensure that the troops in Afghanistan receive presents from loved ones this Christmas. As part of QVC’s ‘Gifts for Soldiers’ programme, TNT Post UK was asked to help transport Christmas gift boxes free of charge within the UK, ready for despatch to serving troops.
QVC has been working with TNT Post since mid-2011 after the launch of a new packets and parcels delivery service following demand from e-retailers, for a reliable and cost effective service to satisfy their expanding online customer base.
James Keegan, Director of Customer Services, QVC UK said: “We want to thank everyone who helped put together the Christmas gift boxes and TNT Post UK for their generous support in delivering the gifts to the depot at no cost. The boxes will ensure the soldiers know they are in the thoughts of those here at home, particularly at this time of year.”
Nick Wells, CEO TNT Post UK, said: “We are delighted that QVC asked us to work with them on their excellent Gifts for Soldiers initiative. We are very proud of the work that our Forces are undertaking and this is a small gesture to try and ensure they receive Christmas gifts from loved ones.”
TNT Post, part of Dutch postal service PostNL, describes itself as the second largest UK postal company, handles more than 200m mailpieces each month.
