BAE Systems wins contract with Apollo

BAE Systems, has awarded specialist materials and supply chain service provider Apollo a ten year contract valued at around £500 million, to operate its Air Programmes Business Unite without metal inventory or associated early-stage processing systems. The so-called Millennium contract with Apollo has allowed BAE Systems to reduce its inventory by £12 million and to re-allocate space previously used for storage to other, higher value adding activities such as the new Eurofighter programme.
