Tibbett & Britten Expands

Tibbett and Britten (T&B) of the UK, logistics group, aims to expand its operations in the Netherlands, boosting annual turnover to GBu 28mn. The company has acquired the 45,000 square metre distribution centre of Curver’s, which makes household products, at Brunssum, close to Maastricht, Netherlands. According to T&B Benelux’s managing director, Lex Kop, the facility is ideally situated for Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands, where supply chain management services are likely to expand. T&B plans to set up a new business unit within T&B Benelux to manage the centre at Brunssum. T&B has 93,200 square metres of warehousing in the Netherlands, at seven sites. It has also bought Unicargo, a Buenos Aires, Argentina group, to enable it to expand into Latin America.
