New report analyses impact of e-commerce on Europe’s express delivery market
A new study has analysed the impact of e-commerce and IT-enabled services on the European express delivery market. The report, which is now available on the Research and Markets website, has analysed the extent to which the growth in E-commerce trade has resulted in an increase in B2C express delivery services in the market.
The study, which found that that the “market is fragmented with many small and medium-sized vendors with similar service offerings”, also looked at IT-enable services.
An analyst from the research team commented: “Express delivery service providers are adopting IT-enabled services, such as GPS tracking, online tracking, communication services, and automatic updating of records, to provide hassle-free services to customers. In addition, IT-enabled services help ensure a smooth flow of operation and remove any traditional operational issues. IT-enabled services also help increase the profitability of express delivery service providers by making their business processes faster and more accurate than manual processes.”
