Jersey Post and Whistl launch new service for businesses

Jersey Post has partnered with Whistl to offer its business customers a new class of service that will reduce postage cost for mainland deliveries. The new Economy mail will be a three to five day service offering a discount on the current Jersey Post postage rates.

Jersey Post, which has traditionally offered a one to two day service and a tracked service, said that the new three to five day service is being introduced to “meet demand from clients who are less dependent on day definite delivery but still require a consistent quality of service”.

Tim Brown, the CEO Jersey Post, commented: “We have a long term and successful relationship with Whistl and are delighted to have developed this new service which offers our business customers more flexibility and choice when using Jersey Post for UK deliveries.”

Nick Wells, the CEO of Whistl, added: “We are pleased to have broadened the service we provide to Jersey Post for inbound UK mail and it is a significant development in our international strategy. Our approach is to work with a client to see how we can create operational and financial efficiencies to benefit them and their stakeholders.”

Whistl has provided downstream Access services (i.e. collection, sortation and then delivery by Royal Mail) to clients on Jersey since 2014. Today’s launch marks the first time that Whistl has facilitated a new class of delivery for a national postal operator.
