DPD offers ASOS customers a ‘Precise’ delivery service

DPD has announced a new service – called ‘Precise’ – which will allow ASOS customers to choose their own, exact one-hour delivery slot on the day of their choosing. DPD says that the Precise service puts the ASOS customers “in complete control of their deliveries”.

Currently, ASOS customers are notified by text or email of their next day, one-hour delivery slot by DPD. But with the new Precise service, they will be able to choose either to accept the original delivery slot via the notification – or select their own preferred delivery day and their specific one hour delivery slot via DPD’s ‘in-flight’ options. Precise deliveries can be arranged for anytime in the following seven days between 11am and 5pm.

Commenting on the new service, DPD’s CEO Dwain McDonald said: “Precise gives ASOS a real advantage at a time when all retailers are looking to innovate in the delivery space and wow customers.

“We’re focused on making parcel delivery as ‘personal’ as possible by using the best technology available to put customers in complete control of their deliveries. Giving customers timely information they can really use and a great choice of delivery options is genuinely liberating.”

Matt Rogers from ASOS added: “Precise is another first for ASOS and a huge leap forward on our customer focused delivery proposition. Our customers love getting their deliveries quickly and tell us they want control and choice over how and when their parcels arrive. Precise gives them exactly that.
