DHL extends European parcel network

DHL extends European parcel network

DHL has added four more countries to its European parcel network: Croatia, Bulgaria, Ireland and Romania. Ireland and Romania will be joining now through agreements with, respectively, An Post and Urgent Cargus.

Croatia and Bulgaria will join the network in November – through partnerships with the Croatian postal service Hrvatska Posta (Croatian Post) and the Bulgarian parcel service Rapido.

Post&Parcel reported on the agreement with Croatian Post earlier today (4 September).

DHL Parcel Europe now operates in 26 countries.

In a statement posted on its website, Deutsche Post DHL Group said: “The ongoing network expansion in cooperation with established local partners in the respective countries is in line with DHL’s strategy to continue its development in the European e-commerce market and offer customers the most extensive infrastructure possible. The clear goal is to establish a presence in all key European e-commerce markets by the end of 2018.”
