bpost buys US-based e-commerce logistics company Radial

Belgium’s bpost has bought the US-based e-commerce logistics company Radial, in a move which it says will provide “an industry-leading cross-border value proposition for its customers in Europe and North America”. bpost will acquire 100% of Radial for $820m. The transaction is expected to close in the last quarter of 2017, subject to customary closing conditions.

Headquartered in Pennsylvania, Radial fulfilled over 306m units for its retail customers across 24 fulfillment centres in 2016.

In a statement issued today (9 October), bpost said that the expected normalized annual revenues of Radial for 2017 are forecasted between $970m and $1,020m. The expected normalized EBITDA is forecasted to be between $65m and $70m in 2017.

bpost said with Radial onboard it will build on its Landmark Global business to “scale its presence” in the US.
