New Lynx Express branch opens in Gloucester in major investment
Britain’s largest independent parcels carrier, Lynx Express, expands its UK branch network facilities, opening the doors of a new purpose built branch in Gloucester on September 27.
The new purpose built branch is located on the Gloucester Business Park in Brockworth, in close proximity to the M5 motorway, and replaces the company’s existing branch in St Oswald’s Road, Gloucester. The new 22,000 sq ft branch offers more modern facilities and an improved location, to enable Lynx to both meet the current needs of its customers and fulfil the anticipated growth of business in the area.
John Johnson, Regional Director for LYNX Express, has confirmed that the business has grown by about 20 per cent in the Gloucester region. The catchment area for Lynx’s Gloucester branch covers all Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and the Gwent area including Newport postcodes. This fact and the natural expiry date of the lease of the previous premises led to the decision to re-locate to the new branch.
John Johnson added: “This major investment in a new purpose built branch is a major development for Lynx and its customers.
“Moving to a state of the art facility will bring immediate benefits such as greater efficiencies in loading and unloading vehicles, improved office facilities and generally a much better environment for staff.
“We see the Gloucester area as a prime business opportunity. The South-West and surrounding region is a thriving area and we are confident of major growth potential,” he added.
