DFDS Transport in the UK and Ireland has reversed the downward trend in the transport industry for 2001 results by announcing annual profits of GBP 3.4 million, 193 per cent higher than the previous year. The profit was earned from an increase in revenues to GBP 283 million and a growth in individual consignments to nearly 800,000, making DFDS one of the fastest-growing transport organizations in the UK and Ireland.
