Cost-cutting for TPG logistics

Dutch group TPG, which owns TNT, says it has launched cost-cutting measures across its poorly-performing logistics business. The comment came as the group reported a 2.8% rise in net profit to £147m in its first quarter results.

Citysprint off mark to buy MPC

April 2003 City Sprint have taken over the business of MPC logistics. MPC logistics was formed by Marc Chauveau and was part of the Sentinal Business Services Group. Sentinel were reported to be in difficulty and the document storage elements of Sentinel’s business have been transferred to Recall – a subsidiary of Brambles.
