Chronopost International buys out all of interholding (Top Chrono and TZF)

Already a 49% shareholder of the Interholding company, in July 2003 Chronopost International purchased the remaining 51% previously owned by the company Saturne SA. Interholding is made up of the companies Top Chrono – Saturne Courses (a company providing urban delivery on request, leaders in urban delivery in the Parisian region), TZF (specialists in regular delivery rounds) and TC Formation (Top Chrono training establishment). The total acquisition of Interholding’s activities allows the Chronopost International group to strengthen its professional synergy and to consolidate its portfolio of express services provided by the different trade names:
– Urban delivery: Top Chrono and TZF
– National and international same-day delivery: Taxicolis
– National and international express delivery: Chronopost International

Chronopost International, French post office La Postes express distribution arm, has opened its 14th and largest operation in Portugal. The 4,000 sq m centre in Porto can handle up to 16,000 shipments daily.

Chronopost to provide new guaranteed service

CEP provider Chronopost, part of the French La-Poste Group, has introduced a new service, the “Chrono Premium International” product which guarantees that parcels and letters sent to major commercial centres in Europe arrive before 10:30 hrs the following day.
Currently, the new service is offered only in France, Denmark and the Netherlands. However, the CEP company intends to increase the network of “Chrono Premium International” to Germany, Belgium and Portugal in the near future.

Safe post

It appears that the future of postal and mail companies is safe. A survey carried out by UK Chronopost International revealed that 70% of people believe sending documents by post is safer than sending them as email attachments.
