SWITZERLAND: DPD IS AMBITIOUS

DPD Deutscher Paket Dienst GmbH & Co, in which French La Poste has a 85% holding, plans to merge the Swiss companies DPD Ost and DPD West into DPD Switzerland AG. The latter will be controlled by Geneva-based GeoPost Switzerland S.A. DPD Switzerland aims to invest around SFr 20mn in Switzerland in order to benefit from the lucrative parcel delivery business.
