Post Office internet growth stunted by management

The U.S. Postal Service has been unable to develop a unified and effective Internet and e-commerce strategy, mainly because of a “fragmented” management approach, says a new report issued by the U.S. General Accounting Office (GAO).
The report, released earlier this week, is a follow-up by the GAO on recommendations it gave to the Postal Service in September 2000 on updating its services for the Internet.

TDG wins 3-year contract from HSE

TDG has won a three-year multimillion pound contract to handle c-fulfilment for television home shopping channel Home Shopping Europe. HSE will use
50,000 sq ft of TDG’s 450,000 sq ft e-fulfilment centre at Wrexham, which includes a secure area for high value products. £200,000 has been invested to support c-fulfilment services at the site which will see an additional 45 jobs dedicated to the HSE contract.

Sky Digital subscribers order goods from live auctions daily by phone or through the company website. Fulfilment consultants Sports Logistics worked with bid-up.tv to appoint Business Express as sole carrier.
