Empost takes off with new Cargo and Logistics service

Empost, the UAE’s national courier company announced the launch of its Cargo and Logistics service offering air, land and sea freight operations through the Logistics division of Empost. This service will enable Empost to expand into a higher degree of customer services and will improve the level of proficiency.

Sultan Al Midfa, CEO, Empost said, “The new Cargo and Logistics service will provide Empost customers with regional and global transportation networks, specifically tailored to their requirements to offer reliable, prompt, secure, efficient and profitable solutions. We are aiming to offer a comprehensive global supply chain solution that will reduce costs, improve customer service, reduce inventory investments and speed up product delivery.”

The portfolio of services offered by the land, air and sea freight division includes flexible International land options from standard to expedited services; Door-to-Door and Airport-to-Airport forwarding Sea-to-Air transhipments and Air-to-Air transhipments, Customs Clearance, Ware House & distribution and Land transportation within UAE and the globe.

Online management tools for shipment tracking, and time bound and guaranteed air freight services, with flexible options for shipment and delivery ranging from 24 hours to seven days, depending on the urgency of the shipment.

Empost’s sea freight service operates in association with a variety of global ocean freight and transportation providers and is designed to combine the economies of ocean freight with the speed of air freight. The service can handle any shipment size, such as full container loads to less than container load, special equipment and oversized cargo, with the additional guarantee of personal cargo monitoring until the freight’s arrival at the desired destination.

Both air, land and sea logistics services will facilitate communication by sourcing all incoming and outgoing logistical needs through one point of contact on a 24/7 basis. Empost signs agreement with Jordanian Consulate in Dubai

EmpostEmpost, the UAE’s national courier company has recently signed a cooperative agreement with the Jordanian Consulate in Dubai to provide delivery of consular documents, passports and travel documents to the consulate’s clients through EmpostEmpost’s “Jawaz” service. The agreement was signed by H.E. Naef Al Zaidan, Jordanian Consul in Dubai, and Sultan Al Midfa, CEO EmpostEmpost.

Jawaz Services is optional and can be requested while submitting Visa applications. EmpostEmpost has set up counters at the Embassy and the Consulate, to enable clients to avail the service without hassle.

In addition to the Jordanian Consulate, EmpostEmpost has entered into partnerships with the embassies and consulates of US, Syria, Saudi, the Philippines, and Indian to deliver passports and consular documents to their respective clients through the Jawaz service wherever they are in the UAE. Empost to deliver entry permits and residency documents through its Jawaz service- in Al-Ain

The move is expected to enhance and accelerate vital transactions between the Department and local residents and visitors.

Empost will deliver the confidential entry permit documents to residents of Al Ain,. The entry permits comprise all types of visas which are issued by the Department of Naturalization and Residency to any foreigners wishing to work in or visit the UAE.

Commenting on the agreement, Sultan Al Midfa, CEO, Empost said, ‘The rapid increase of people visiting the UAE has created the need for a reputed services provider, such as Empost, to assist in delivering the large number of visa’s which are being processed. This agreement will enhance the process involved in obtaining entry permits, as the quick and reliable delivery will eliminate the time and effort it takes to stand in document collection queues. This initiative came as a request from the Department of Naturalization and Residency to enhance their services.’

Empost launches new bulk shipment service

Empost is following its strategy in introducing new services to adapt with the fast moving world; the service will allow customers to deliver bulk shipments all over the UAE.

As part of its ongoing expansion programme, Empost, the UAE’s national courier company, has announced the introduction of a new ‘Bulk Shipment Service’ starting January 15, 2007.

Empost has embarked on a comprehensive expansion plan, increasing its fleet of service vehicles to 425, widening its network to 225 destinations and ensuring the delivery of documents and parcels within 72 hours. Empost now boasts of a host of services that include personal collection and delivery of business or personal mail, Mandoub Service, Tawseel, Ameel, Health Pack, Jawaz, EziPack, LiteDox, EziMail, Empost Express and Empost Stores which sell a range of courier, postal and stationery products.

Empost was established in May 1997 to fill a gap in express courier services in the UAE. Over time, Empost has evolved into a diverse service organisation with an effective international distribution network and infrastructure.
