La Poste Unions Reject Pay Increase

The trade unions of the French post office yesterday rejected management’s offer of a 1 per cent pay rise (1.8 per cent for those at the bottom of the salary grading) for the organisation’s 101,000 contract staff. Chronopost to provide new guaranteed service

CEP provider Chronopost, part of the French La-Poste Group, has introduced a new service, the “Chrono Premium International” product which guarantees that parcels and letters sent to major commercial centres in Europe arrive before 10:30 hrs the following day.
Currently, the new service is offered only in France, Denmark and the Netherlands. However, the CEP company intends to increase the network of “Chrono Premium International” to Germany, Belgium and Portugal in the near future.
