Korea Post (KP), the postal service arm of the Ministry of Information and Communication, said yesterday it will build a mobile mail service system by 2004 on a gradual basis. Under the plan, the government will supply personal digital assistants for around 14,000 mailpersons over the next three years,
said KP official Kwon Moon-hong. The government’s decision reflected growing fears about the proliferation of the Internet.
KoreaPost said it held the second high-level meeting with its Chinese and Japanese counterparts in Seoul to discuss the development of mail services and seek tripartite cooperation.
