Slovak President Rudolf Schuster signed the draft law on the transformation of state-run postal service company Slovenska Posta on Friday, his spokesman Jan Fule informed SITA. In line with the above law, Slovenska Posta will be transformed into a joint-stock company as of July 1, 2004.

Swiss Post Int announces distribution partnerships in eastern Europe

Swiss Post International (SPI), the international arm of Swiss Post, is entering into distribution partnerships with the postal administrations of Slovenia, Hungary and Slovakia. This will benefit business customers who send letters, mailings and parcels to these countries. Under this agreement, the Slovenian, Hungarian and Slovakian post offices will be represented in the German-speaking countries by SPI Germany and SPI Austria, beginning in April.

Resolutions from the annual general meeting of OptiMail AB

The annual general meeting of OptiMail AB held on 10 March 2004, resolved to declare a dividend for 2003 of SEK 0.50 per share, equivalent to SEK 6.5 million.
