New appointment for Europa Road to support its expansion

Matthew Camm has joined Europa Road, a dedicated division of logistics provider Europa Worldwide Group, as UK Network Development Manager and will be based at the company’s European road freight sales branch in Nottingham.

Matthew brings 17 years of experience in the logistics and supply chain industries, with expertise in international and domestic operations, customer and partner management.

Matthew will be responsible for the commercial management of Europa’s network of UK domestic partner organisations who Europa works with to deliver its services. He said: “As the domestic market sees more and more changes, the need for a specific focus on domestic relationships is vital.  As 100% of my time will be focused on this, I expect that over time I will develop unique relationships which give us an edge over our competitors. I have a lot and varied experience in the industry which provides me with a good foundation to develop my role and Europa’s network of partners.”

Matthew’s career includes six years at Nottingham-based RH Group, where Europa’s Managing Director Andrew Baxter was previously a Director. He was attracted to Europa due to the company’s enviable reputation in the industry.

He said: “I’ve followed Europa’s progress over the years and could see they were making large strides towards being a market leader, thanks to Andrew’s commitment and drive towards this goal. Europa is a great place to work with a major commitment to developing its staff. There is a relaxed atmosphere, yet a clear drive throughout. I’m thrilled to be part of this brilliant team and to contribute towards the success of the company.”

The last year has been one of major growth for Europa Road, which launched new branches in Sheffield and Northern Ireland in September 2018, along with the new Nordic Hub service.

Dionne Redpath, Branch Network and Sales Director at Europa, said: “We are delighted to welcome Matthew to the team and know his wealth of experience and knowledge will be of huge benefit to us, strengthening our team further. The continued investment in our services, facilities and staff shows our drive to gain further market share.”
