Wincanton to focus on talent acquisition

UK third-party logistics company Wincanton, has appointed Sally Austin as its Group Human Resources Director to define and deliver the organisation’s people strategy.

Sally brings years of in-depth experience within the Engineering, Defence and Manufacturing Industries. Her most recent position was Group HR Director with Costain Group plc, a British technology-based construction and engineering company. She previously held a variety of HR roles within the company and became Group HR Director in 2014. Prior to Costain, Sally also held positions at BAE Systems, Coopervision and latterly Eaton Corporation working across Europe.

Commenting on the appointment, Adrian Colman, Chief Executive, said: “We are excited by Sally’s arrival, with the wealth of experience and expertise that she brings to the role. We look forward to her leading Wincanton’s efforts to continue to develop our colleague engagement, talent acquisition and diversity as well as our learning and development.”
