Latvia Post meets e-commerce demand with new investment
BlueCrest – the enterprise print, mail and customer communication solution specialist together with Latvian local system integrator company RECK – has signed a deal with Latvia Post for the provision of sortation technology to handle the Post’s growing e-commerce volumes.
In a multi-million dollar deal, Latvia Post has invested in BlueCrest’s TrueSort Parcel Sorting solution with dual bomb-bay processing. TrueSort provides Latvia Post with automated, high-speed parcel sorting at outstanding throughput rates.
The TrueSort solution is complemented by BlueCrest’s OneSort technology which delivers dimensioning and data-capture accuracy and provides Latvia Post with real-time intelligence to streamline logistics planning.
BlueCrest has also custom-built a unique manual sort station for any items which cannot be automated.
Alberto Pereira, Business Manager EMEA at BlueCrest, comments: “We first heard about Latvia Post’s ambitious automation plans in 2018. Working with our in-country business partner RECK, we conducted several in-country workshops which convinced Latvia Post that BlueCrest technology and expertise would meet the desired outcomes.
“A growing aspect of this Post’s operation is small, hard-to-handle packages from e-commerce activity. The organisation recognised the efficiency and integrity with which our TrueSort system handles very small, light-weight packages up to 10kg. We look forward to a very successful, ongoing partnership.”
BlueCrest is the new brand name for what was previously Pitney Bowes Document Messaging Technologies.
