Poste Italiane, the largest logistics and technology infrastructure organization in Italy, has chosen Panini, a global payments solutions leader, as their technology provider for the dematerialization of payment slips. They have installed over 21,600 Panini Vision X® scanners at postal locations throughout the country. Panini has been working with Poste Italiane for the past two years to create a solution that met their technical specifications and increased their return on investment.

General Secretary talks about tackling Post Office Ltd’s central costs

General Secretary George Thomson says “There can be little doubt that one of the main challenges facing the Post Office is its ever increasing central costs. By that I don’t mean the one-off administration and staffing costs associated with Network Transformation – these are temporary in nature and are funded by the government’s £1.34bn investment in the network. The costs that concern me are those associated with running Post Office Ltd (POL) and the 373 directly owned branches – Crown Offices to you and I.”
