Ukrposhta resumes international delivery by passenger flights
Ukrainian Postal Service (Ukrposhta) has resumed the international delivery of items via direct passenger flights. The first flights will be conducted by Lufthansa and KLM.
Lufthansa Airlines delivers Ukrposhta from Ukraine to Germany, and from there they will be sent to Europe, South America, South and Southeast Asia, the United States, China and Japan.
KLM delivers Ukrposhta parcels to the Netherlands, and from there to South Africa, the UAE, New Zealand, Australia, Colombia, Peru, Panama and other countries.
Currently, postal items will depart 5 times a week on Lufthansa flights and 3 times a week on KLM flights.
As there is currently no announcement of the resumption of direct passenger flights from Kiev to New York, Ukrposhta plans to continue the charter program with UIA to ensure quality delivery to the United States. In general, in June, the airline will deliver Ukrposhta parcels to the United States for 7 direct flights, performed 1-2 times a week.
Thanks to these charter flights, Ukrposhta provides stable delivery times for two products during the almost complete blockade of air transportation: “Postal Express” – weighing up to 2 kg and EMS (Express Mail Service) – weighing up to 30 kg.
