IBC welcomes the newest member of its team

IBC has appointed  e-commerce specialist Mirja Nissen. 

Mirja Nissen has been working in the transport and logistics industry for over 20 years. She started her career at Lufthansa German Airlines, holding different management positions within the airline’s Cargo division in Chicago. Being located to Miami, she was put in charge of the carrier’s consulting firm’s regional Americas sales office.

After leaving the airline industry Mirja Nissen spent some time in freight forwarding, where she held management positions in trade lane and business development.

Her first encounter with e-commerce logistics has been during her time at DHL e-commerce, where she spent over 5 years in charge of cross border lane development covering postal as well commercial parcel shipment streams globally.

As the managing director of e-commerce for WCA Ltd. she was overseeing the company’s eCommerce network, which is made up of small and medium sized freight forwarders involved in eCommerce logistics. Her goal, as well as the network’s intention, was to establish its members as leaders in door-to-door delivery and eCommerce logistics excellence.  IBC is a member of this network.

Mirja will be based out of IBC’s Miami facility.
