Posten Bring rolls out 5000 SwipBox lockers in just over three years

With a clear location strategy from the outset, Posten Bring (formerly Posten Norge) has built a truly dense nationwide network consisting of 5,000 SwipBox Infinity parcel lockers.

Covering villages and cities alike, the Norwegian logistics provider is true to their vision of “making everyday life easier and the world smaller”.

Posten Bring – the first SwipBox Infinity partner after the Danish Nærboks network – started an Infinity pilot in January 2020 and commenced their nationwide rollout in January 2021. In the past year alone, several million parcels have passed through the lockers installed in 1750 locations throughout Norway.

”We want to give every Norwegian the option to pick up their parcels in a parcel locker. The fact that the locker is so quick to install means we can easily scale our network to meet customer needs. This has been instrumental in our fast nationwide rollout,” said Head of PUDO Services and Parcel Locker Network at Posten Bring Håvard Femtehjell, adding: “With its accessible outdoor design, hassle-free apps and fast installation, the Infinity solution supports this vision.”

Most recently Posten Bring has implemented an option which lets customers choose delivery in a compartment reachable from a wheelchair. This solution, which is part of the API from SwipBox, ensures that wheelchair users throughout Norway can now also avail of the flexibility of a 24/7 pickup solution.

“It’s amazing to work with an organisation that utilises our lockers to their full potential. The idea behind the Infinity design was that it could be placed anywhere, providing convenience close to where people live. Posten Bring is a true leader in the parcel logistics field, never afraid of going new ways and always with a focus on delivering the best possible service to every Norwegian,” stated SwipBox CEO Jens Rom.

Posten Bring does more than that. They also personalise the pickup experience by providing all lockers with a name – the only SwipBox partner to do this so far. For instance the company revealed that lockers named Clarissa, Maribeth, Roy-Ole and Tor-Inge had the highest parcel throughput over the Christmas period 2022. It remains to be seen if they will be outmatched by some of the new lockers on the block next Christmas.

SwipBox is focused on creating the world’s best user experience for delivering and picking up parcels using parcel lockers. Through a combination of intuitive network management software and hassle-free, app-operated parcel lockers, SwipBox delivers maximum convenience to logistics providers, retailers and end users alike.

The company is headquartered in Denmark and has additional offices in Pakistan, Poland and Australia. Together with partners, SwipBox always strives to optimise their solutions to reduce the carbon footprint in the first and last mile area.
