Record-Breaking Award Haul for Express Delivery Giant

An outstanding performance by Atherstone-based TNT Express Services in the UK delivery market has been rewarded with two top awards at a ceremony honouring the cream of the transport industry.

The Warwickshire express delivery giant picked up the awards in the Customer Care and Training categories at the Motor Transport Awards at a glittering ceremony in London last week, taking the total number of Motor Transport awards won over the past 20 years to 23 – a feat unmatched by any other transport company.

The coveted Customer Care award came as a result, said the judges of “a commitment to continuously improving customers’ experience at every level.”

The panel commended our comprehensive plan, based on customer research, which targets customer care improvement – in particular the importance TNT places on regular communication with our customers and acting on that contact.

The Training Award recognised TNT’s ground-breaking Trailblazer driver training initiative – which has provided new career paths for countless employees and also addressed the problem of long-term driver shortages.

The judging panel was also impressed with achievements including reducing lost time with accidents, loss and damage claims and employee turnover numbers.

Chris Atkinson, Director of Customer Experience at TNT Express Services, said: “We have delivered yet again another tremendous result, bringing our total number of Motor Transport awards to 23.

“What’s particularly satisfying is that this is our sixth Customer Care award – it endorses our continuous drive for improvement in all that we do and confirms that we are conducting our business in the right fashion.”

TNT was also short-listed in the Safety in Operation and Efficiency in Operation categories at this year’s Motor Transport awards.
