Posti delivered nearly 1.4 million parcels during Black Friday week
Black Friday kicked off the Christmas season in e-commerce last week. Posti delivered nearly 1.4 million parcels during one week.
Black Friday fell on November 24, but many stores already started their sales campaigns on the previous week.
”The Christmas season is a busy time for us, and Black Friday increases the number of parcel deliveries. E-commerce has established its role as a sales channel and there have been plenty of parcels on the move. We delivered almost 7 million parcels during last week’s peak season. This year, we believe we’ll reach similar figures,” says Posti’s Vice President Kaj Kulp.
Posti has prepared for the Christmas season by opening 37 temporary pickup points and by starting Saturday deliveries for parcels in the biggest cities.
Domestic parcels will reach their destination by Christmas if you send them by December 20. A prepaid parcel can be dropped off at any parcel locker or service point. Christmas cards with a domestic no-value indicator stamp need to be mailed by December 17, cards with a no-value indicator stamp for Christmas greetings by December 13.
