Ukrposhta joins forces with DHL to ensure stable delivery times

The national postal operator of Ukraine, JSC “Ukrposhta”, and DH DHL Global Match (UK) Limited, a specialised division of DHL Deutsche Post, have announced a partnership in transport services and transportation of postal items.

Cooperation between the two companies ensures the reliability and speed of delivering Ukrainian postal items abroad. In particular, this partnership will be beneficial to Ukrainian exporters who sell their goods on international marketplaces.

The cooperation covers such countries as the USA, Canada, Australia, and, in the future, Asian countries with further expansion plans. This will provide Ukrainian entrepreneurs with greater confidence in stable delivery times, because DHL Global Match is a global company that both operates its own fleet of DHL Aviation aircraft and uses partner airlines to fulfil orders.

“Partnership with DHL Global Match is part of Ukrposhta’s strategy to expand export routes. The closed airspace, continuous shelling and border blockades are undoubtedly a huge challenge for the company, but with international companies that have regular connections, we have an opportunity to ensure stable delivery times even with such challenges.

Only in January, 90% of our shipments from any of the 27,000 Ukrposhta service points to the United States arrived within 7 to 14 days,” said Ukrposhta General Director Igor Smelyansky.

Speaking recently about the new and exciting partnership, Holly Hatch the Managing Director of DHL Global Match (UK) Limited said “We are delighted to be partnered with JSC Ukrposhta. During these challenging times, DHL Global Match are proud that our partnership has enabled the customers of Ukrposhta to expand their reach in to the North American and Oceania markets. We are committed to fulfilling our services and supporting Ukrposhta with their expansion plans.”

Ukrposhta provides delivery of postal items from Ukraine to 190 member countries of the Universal Postal Union. Partnership with DHL Global Match opens new horizons for Ukrainian entrepreneurs and helps them sell goods on international markets.

In 2023, Ukrposhta transported more than 3.5 million kilograms of postal items from Ukrainian exporters, helping them organise the sales of goods abroad. In particular, more than 31.5 thousand Ukrainian entrepreneurs have already registered on the ETSY platform, the largest craft goods marketplace, and sell almost 1.6 million items of unique goods to customers around the world.

In 2002, Deutsche Post DHL established DHL Global Match (UK) Limited to provide high quality, cost effective international mail consolidation services dedicated to the needs of Postal Authorities worldwide. DHL Global Match (UK) Limited, provides a comprehensive portfolio of high-quality, cost-effective international mail consolidation and distribution services to 170+ destinations around the world via road and air utilising the resources, experience and buying power of the Deutsche Post DHL Group.
