Austrian Post advances flexibility in postal services
Österreichische Post AG has opened its first self-service branch in Linz at Schillerstraße 53. This will give around 4,500 households in the Neustadtviertel the opportunity to pick up or send their parcels around the clock. The new self-service branch has now been officially opened by Dietmar Prammer, Mayor of the City of Linz, and Barbara Potisk-Eibensteiner, Chief Financial Officer, Österreichische Post AG.
Dietmar Prammer, Mayor of the City of Linz: “The new self-service branch of Austrian Post is an important step towards a modern, service-oriented city. Postal services available around the clock make everyday life easier for many Linz residents and at the same time strengthen the supply close to home in the Neustadtviertel. I am pleased that Linz is leading the way here as a location for innovative solutions.”
Barbara Potisk-Eibensteiner, Chief Financial Officer, Österreichische Post AG: “With the first self-service branch in Upper Austria, we are taking an important step towards making postal services even more flexible and modern for the people of Linz. I am particularly pleased that we were able to realize this project in close coordination and with great support from the city of Linz. The new self-service branch shows how we successfully combine innovation and regional cooperation.”
