Viapostal to begin operations in February (Viapostal: entrada en actividad en febrero)

On 1 February, Viapostal will go into operation as the first private postal operator in Spain following the liberalisation of this market in the whole of Europe. Operlogic, a shareholder in Viapostal, has promoted the project.

Viapostal will initially offer services to businesses and will compete on the residential market when it is liberalised in 2003. Azkar and Banco Popular are also shareholders in Viapostal, while banks and savings banks have acted as financial guarantors.
