DPD's Future: Compete with DHL,TNT and UPS

“German parcels operator Deutscher Paket Dienst (DPD) will expand into express services and plans to launch an international air express cooperation with FedEx, company officials said on Wednesday. DPD, now 85 percent owned by the French post office La Poste, would first expand its guaranteed parcels delivery service outside Germany and then build up a true express service, they told a news conference here.” DPD plan is to first launch domestic express and then to create an international air express service, with FedEx, possibly using the Chronopost brand, Reuters reports.
