Quieter Christmas for Jersey Post

Jersey Post handled 150,000 fewer letters and cards this Christmas than last.

Snail mail is expected to taper off even more in the coming year.

But with growing numbers of people shopping online the volume of packages is increasing – up by around 2.5 million last year.

Jersey Post says that by diversifying into areas beyond the traditional letter, they’re all set to weather the economic storm.
