La Poste’s subsidiary Mediapost has announced the acquisition of Romanian company Hit Mail group.

Hit Mail group, who provide direct marketing services in Romania, posted a turnover worth €7.8m in 2008 and comprises of five companies.
Mediapost previously operated two other acquisitions in Portugal in September 2008 and Spain in December 2008.
Last year, La Poste posted a net profit worth €529m, representing a decrease of 44% and doesn’t expect an increase for this year, according to the company. Overall, the group turnover upped to €20.83bn in 2008, with 0.2% versus 2007, according to the group’s financial report.
