Abdullah promoted at DHL Express Southeast Asia

Nurhayati Abdullah has been appointed vice president, sales & marketing for DHL Express Southeast Asia. Prior to this appointment, Abdullah was the head of sales for Thailand & Indochina, a position she held since 2009. Abdullah has also held roles DHL Malaysia and DHL Philippines.

Abdullah will report to Yasmin Aladad Khan, DHL Express senior vice-president for Southeast Asia.

She will be tasked with spearheading sales and marketing strategies that will drive revenue growth in this fastest growing region for DHL.

Khan said: “The strong performance of the Thailand and Indochina markets is under-pinned by Nurhayati’s strength in building and leading a dynamic team.

“She has demonstrated her strong leadership capabilities time and time again since joining the DHL Southeast Asia team in the year 2000. I have no doubt that Nurhayati will continue her exemplary work for us in this region.”

Abdullah added: “I look forward to continuing the strong working relationship with this capable Southeast Asia team in my new capacity. With the economy picking up in this region, there is significant opportunity for growth and together with my team, we will endeavour to meet and exceed our customer expectations and be our customer’s First Choice at all times.”
