Postal operators discussing Uglii opportunities
SISS Business Systems confirmed talks are under way with two postal operators after it launched a new global directory system. The solution – named Uglii – will open up new opportunities to the postal sector, the Australia-based company said.
After networking at the recent World Mail & Express Europe Conference 2011 in Brussels, SISS’s subsidiary for the postal sector, PostPolly, is discussing partnership opportunities with two European postal services.
Following the Brussels event, SISS CEO John Knorr confirmed he was impressed with the “strength and excellence” of the European postal industry.
Knorr said: “This is a global industry that is obviously seeking to leverage core assets in the face of declining traditional business operations.”
Uglii offers spatial discovery of information about verified businesses and their products and services along with a listing of registered brands and models at rates that are affordable for all businesses.
Knorr added: “As our patented spatial search method is combined with classification against a 700,000 item encyclopaedia of products and services, Uglii is one of the most powerful online business discovery systems available in the world today.”
Uglii is a single global system in which searchers can set their area of interest, as close as 100 metres or as broad as the world. Uglii therefore offers an “intimate search for local businesses, as well as global reach for businesses with import or export needs”, the company said.
The Uglii Systems, launched in May 2011 have been developed and refined over the past decade.
The Uglii system and partnership opportunity was presented to attendees at the recent Technology Seminar at World Mail & Express Europe 2011.
