Finland Post has no plans to outsource distribution

Oct 17, 2001 (NORDIC BUSINESS REPORT via COMTEX) — The Finnish postal
services company Finland Post issued a statement today (17 October) denying
reports in Finnish media that it had plans to outsource mail distribution to
private sector companies. While Finland Post admitted that the distribution
work was constantly diminishing due in part to the growth of electronic mail
services the company denied that it would be planning changes in its rural
distribution services. Finland Post would adapt its operations through
work-hour arrangements and by developing further its methods, the company
said. (C)1998-2001 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
