Pitney Bowes upgrades SendSuite shipping software

Pitney Bowes has upgraded its SendSuite Live shipping software platform to include a new parcel tracking system and a freight brokerage service for smaller shippers. The company said improvements to the global logistics software could help shippers save 20% of their shipping cost.

The upgrades also include a performance management service, that can improve shipment routes and rates, as well as an optimisation service that provides larger shippers with an automated process to consolidate multiple parcels for better rates.

Able to management shipments with multiple shipping providers, the system can bring together payment processes from parcel, freight and transportation into a single invoice statement.

SendSuite, put together by Pitney Bowes in partnership with software developers Pierbridge, can be used by mailrooms and warehouses or right from an office desktop.

Mark A Williams, Pitney Bowes director of distribution solutions, said: “These new features, in combination with flexible payment services and consolidated billing, offers parcel and freight shippers unprecedented simplicity in optimising their shipping operation.”
