Prime Vision expands with UK base in Bristol
Mail and parcel processing equipment provider Prime Vision has expanded with a new office in the southwest of England to support its “booming” business in the UK postal, warehouse and logistics markets. The Dutch company specialising in optical character recognition (OCR) systems said its new operation in the city of Bristol came following four years of “exponential” growth in the UK.
It includes sales, support and project management resources for Prime Vision’s UK clients, around 90% of whom are located within two hours’ driving time from Bristol.
Prime Vision, which opened a similar office in Sydney, Australia, earlier this year, said the Bristol location was also close to Bristol International Airport, offering staff easy access to and from Holland and the company’s headquarters and development hub.
“Prime Vision has become hugely successful in the UK market because it offers a unique combination of talents,” said Prime Vision’s head of marketing, Mark Ryder.
“We are core developers of recognition technologies, systems integrators and project management specialists and these abilities have enabled us to secure major contracts in the UK that are world class in their scope and capability.”
The new office has meeting venue and training facilities for up to 30 people, and will initially act as a base for Prime Vision support, project management and installation teams engaged in specific UK projects.
The company said permanent staff numbers will grow along with business needs, and an intended graduate training programme has already started out with a successful internship.
