Prime Vision: Get the highest coding performance delivered as a service

In logistics, it is important to recognise every label of a parcel entering a warehouse or sorting centre. This is often done automatically by OCR (Optical Character Recognition) readers. If OCR cannot read the label, it is automatically sent to a video coding platform where people correct or add the data and immediately feed it back to the sorting system.

Smart Coding as a Service is the result of cooperation between Prime Vision and the Dutch Postal company PostNL. Prime Vision supplies the software technology, PostNL supplies the data-entry services and the network – large bandwidth, little delay (latency). Prime Vision delivers the service via a cloud-based platform.

With Smart Coding as a Service, you get all the benefits of Smart Coding video coding, without having to purchase the entire system. With this service, a coding performance of the highest level is offered at a competitive price per item coded and according to pre-agreed performance.

Prime Vision manages the streams of data and coding requests through the existing platform at AWS. In close cooperation with the customer, a coding environment in the cloud is configured and set up. This includes safe data communication between all parties while observing GDPR rules.

Guaranteed Performance
The service is optimally scalable and available to handle peak times such as Valentine’s Day, Black Friday, Singles Day, and Christmas, including a full 24/7 service worldwide.

Several key performance indicators such as Quality of Coding, Volume, Agreed Response time, are included.

Prime Vision and therefore Smart Coding as a Service operate according to GDPR principles.
