TNT Express rolls out Mobile Worker systems to Bangladesh

TNT Express is rolling out its mobile communication systems within Bangladesh, allowing staff there to send and receive delivery information in real-time. The “Mobile Worker” systems, introduced yesterday in Dhaka, comprise a combination of several communication systems in one multi-functional package.

It includes hand-held scanners and high-speed wireless communication links to allow large quantities of data to be transferred between depots and drivers.

TNT Express said the system made it easier for customers across the world to track their shipments, particularly for those in time-critical businesses.

The company has been using mobile worker systems in its network since the 1990s, but upgraded the technology a few years ago, since when it has been rolling it out across the globe.

Rajiv Bhattacharya, country manager for TNT Express in Bangladesh stated: “TNT Express in Bangladesh constantly keeps its promise towards the customer satisfaction by continuously adding values and upgrading their services which will significantly improve the speed and efficiency of our daily pickup and delivery operations.”
