Business software integration for New Zealand Post services
New Zealand Post’s business customers can now print shipping labels from their accounting software, without having to use separate shipping software systems. Web shipping tools have now been integrated with popular MYOB and Moneyworks business software platforms.
It means shippers do not need to duplicate customer information within two separate software systems, and as soon as an order is ready for despatch, they can click a button to produce a printable PDF shipping label that includes the correct barcode.
When the shipping label is requested, the Integrated Labelling system also notifies New Zealand Post of the forthcoming shipment, and shippers will also be able to track their outgoing orders.
UK-based logistics web services specialist NetDespatch provided the software integration. The company has been working with New Zealand Post for several years on its RedClick shipping documentation software.
MYOB and Moneyworks users in Australia and New Zealand can now access the shipping labels service via the StarShip application, a popular add-on for the accounting software systems.
New Zealand Post’s retail customers can also access the Integrated Labelling service through the New Zealand Post website, where they can produce various domestic or international shipping labels and pay online with a credit or debit card.
Becky Clark, chief executive at NetDespatch, said the Integrated Labelling system meant cost savings and improved customer service for New Zealand Post.
“With the simple to use NetDespatch real time Integrated Labelling web services, New Zealand Post has not only been able to expand its customer base by millions of small business users, but is also able to offer larger businesses a variety of methods of streamlining their order fulfilment,” she said.
