An Post draws 50,000 customers to online bill pay service
Ireland’s An Post has said more than 50,000 customers have now signed up with its new online bill paying facility, mybills.ie. The service went live in October, allowing residents to pay more than 100 household bills online, including utilities like Electric Ireland, Bord Gáis and Eircom.
The free service allows consumers to pay more than one bill at a time, and choose how much of each bill to pay at a time, which the postal operator said meant flexibility and helping householders to take control of their finances.
The facility also includes the ability to view reports and graphs of bill payment history to help customers manage their household budgets.
An Post is expecting 25m household bills to be paid this year either through its new online service or across its 1,150 post office counters.
It said yesterday that mybills.ie extends the range of options for customers to pay their bills and manage their finances.
Enda Kelly, the eastern region manager for retail at An Post, said the company developed mybills.ie in response to growing demand for greater control in online payment, building on the trust that customers have in paying their bills through the post office.
He said: “mybills.ie is a really useful service for householders, enabling them to take control of their bills in a simple, practical way. Pay as much as you want, when you want, and all in one place.”
