International win for Tibbett

Tibbett & Britten has won a multi-million pound contract to provide 4PL services across western and central Europe to Levi Strauss Europe, Middle East and Africa. Tibbett will co-ordinate and manage all Levi Strauss & Co’s transport from factories to distribution centres, and between manufacturing plants and finishing centres throughout Europe. It will transport raw materials into Levi owned and operated factories and contributor’s factories, and deliver finished products to Levi European regional distribution centres.

The contract includes transport and freight forwarding of inbound materials and finished product, expected to be operational by June. A central service hub has been set up at Tibbett’s distribution centre near Utrecht in the Netherlands. The team is run by contract manager Edwin Schouten who reports to Ferrij Suijkerland, Netherlands director of transport, and UK key account manager Martyn Mann.
