Rico Logistics appoints Heather Taylor to its European Finance & Operations Team
Rico Logistics has appointed Heather Taylor to its European Finance & Operations Team. She will be tasked with ensuring cost effective operations and service delivery as well as optimisation of the finance and commercial processes. The Rico Group is a growing organisation which has almost doubled in size in the last twelve months following the acquisition of DHL Sameday in the UK. The remit of the European Operations Team is to take advantage of opportunities across Europe to support the company’s continued growth in the future. Rico is currently investing in the management team to help support this change programme.
Heather’s new role involves working with the front end operational teams, as well as the finance and administration teams to help identify and implement improvements and coordinate operations across the departments. She will also work with customers and suppliers to support process change and improvement. The role also involves compliance with all legal and statutory requirements across Europe.
For the last nine years Heather worked for Geodis, a global logistics provider, working across all of the different divisions including European road freight, storage, distribution and support services.
Heather has already made good progress at Rico and commented: “Since joining five weeks ago I have already been involved with acquiring new warehouse facilities in Poland and launching a ‘self-billing’ process pilot project in Portugal. This type of variation is just what I enjoy.”
Rico Logistics was established in 1988 and has grown to become one of Europe’s largest field service logistics organisations operating in 12 European countries and India with revenues of £85m
