Sendle launches new dashboard
Australian delivery startup Sendle has launched a new dashboard which it claims will give small businesses an alternative to Australia Post’s eParcel. Sendle’s interface also integrates with the cloud accounting solution Xero, to autofill shipping details for customer purchases.
In a statement issued today (13 August), Sendle outlined why it believed it offered small businesses a “better alternative”.
“Until now the only online delivery booking option for many companies, especially in rural and regional Australia, has been Australia Post’s eParcel. Getting an account is an unnecessarily lengthy and time consuming process,” said Sendle, adding that, with its new dashboard, “small businesses can sign-up and start sending packages in under a minute”.
Sendle co-founder James Chin Moody commented: “Australian companies no longer have to apply for an Australia Post Charge Account, then establish an eParcel agreement, then decide how to integrate the freight solution, then prepare consignments before you can actually start sending anything. The current process through Australia Post can take days and involve a variety of calls, emails and forms – small business deserves better.”
The launch of Sendle’s dashboard follows its recent partnership with Toll, which operates one of Australia’s largest delivery networks and recently became a division of Japan Post.
Sendle has an Australia-wide delivery network through which customers can send up to 25kg door-to-door for $9.75 in the same city and $24.75 nationally.
