Amazon now offering Ship By Region settings for sellers

Amazon has enabled Ship by Region (SBR) shipping settings in its Seller Central area which it says will give sellers the opportunity to provide a wider selection of countries to which they can choose to deliver and also “set tailor-made delivery rates and delivery promises” for each selected country. What this means in practice is that sellers can – for example – offer a one- or two-day delivery promise for countries that are close to them and well-served with delivery infrastructure, and a four- or five-day deadline when they are delivering to countries which are further away and less developed.

The new system came into effect on 3 August. Amazon said it believes “this change will give buyers increased confidence in purchasing items from sellers”.
