Contis announces delivery of contactless cards

Contis, the alternative banking and payments group, has announced it will be distributing Visa contactless prepaid and debit cards across its UK and European client base. Contactless technology is now seen as a ‘must have’ for card holders and the company believes that this initiative “confirms the competitive edge of Contis’ capabilities over other providers”.

Peter Cox, the Founder and Executive Chairman of Contis Group, commented: “Contis has spent millions in ensuring our capabilities are in line with modern consumer and commercial organisations’ needs. Our investment in developing contactless across our global platform capabilities is seen as a significant step, and will allow our brand partners to offer their customers the latest technology and convenience at the point of delivery.”

The company reports that it works with brands and businesses all over the world, providing international end-to-end prepaid payment solutions.

Wayne Maraj, Head of Business Development at Contis, told Post&Parcel today that the company is particularly interested in working with operators in the postal sector, for whom an involvement in providing banking and payment solutions could prove “a significant source of extra revenue”.
