Shipt grocery delivery service expands to Atlanta

Birmingham-based grocery delivery company Shipt has announced that it is expanding into Atlanta. The company will be delivering groceries from Publix stores in the greater Atlanta metro area, including downtown, Buckhead and most of the northern metro including Alpharetta, Marietta and Roswell.

According to local sources, Shipt is in the process of hiring 300 drivers in the Atlanta area.

In addition to Atlanta and home-town Birmingham, Shipt also delivers in Nashville, Dallas, Orlando, Tampa and South Florida.

The company promises “same day delivery, in as little as one hour”. Members pay an annual fee of $99 or a monthly fee of $14. All members receive free delivery for orders over $35, but there is a $7 delivery fee for orders under $35.
