Dedicated warehouse for Taobao vendors set up in Chongqing

Alibaba’s Taobao has teamed up with Chongqing Xiyong Bonded Area to set up a dedicated bonded warehouse for vendors selling imported goods on the Taobao website. According to a report published by the Shanghai Daily today (22 September) the 100,000-square-metre warehouse will be used exclusively for Taobao vendors and the local customs bureau will accelerate clearance procedures and the overall logistics process.

The vendors will also be able to reduce their storage and logistics costs “due to the bonded area’s favourable policies”, the Shanghai Daily added.
