Instacart and Allrecipes team up

Instacart and Allrecipes have announced a new partnership to deliver groceries on-demand to home cooks. Instacart uses “personal shoppers” to pick and deliver groceries from local stores, while Allrecipes describes itself as “the world’s largest food-focused social network”.

In a statement issued yesterday (12 October), Instacart said that the new partnership will mean that “with the click of a button, home cooks can add all necessary ingredients from their favorite Allrecipes’ meals and have them delivered straight to their doorstep in as little as one hour”.

Allrecipes claims to reach 40 million home cooks monthly, with 1.3 billion visits a year, across 24 countries in 13 languages.

The Allrecipes/Instacart delivery option is available in all 18 US metropolitan areas that Instacart currently serves.
